I was going through my old stories, and figured I should post some.

2020.12.01 20:37 berNII-SANders I was going through my old stories, and figured I should post some.

Ok so I was going through my old OneNote, and found some old stories. I'm going to post the one I feel is the best. Humor me, if you'd like!
"When these assets are fully grown, they will be the size of humans. They will look, sound, and feel like humans. But they are and will not ever be human. They were born- no created.", the man corrected himself, and then continued, "They have the abilities of the world's most apex predators to date.". A seemingly aloof man in a fancy suit, raised his hand from among the table of men and women. "Yes?", the scientist said, acknowledging the man. "Will they be cute?", the man raised as a question. "I'm afraid I fail to see the connection between 'cute' and scientific exploration.", the puzzled scientist admits. "I, and these people, don't want to fund something that won't get the public eye. Sure, what your offering sounds good, but will it look good?", the man states, very matter-of-factly. "Ah. I see. Well, I can show you if you'd like.", the scientist said. Murmuring followed his statement. One brave women raised her voice, "They're ready?". "Not quite. We have them here currently, but they are in a state, that I suppose you would call, a baby. We have set to teach them speech, or anything really. But I can show you them, I suppose.", the scientist explains. "That'd be nice, yes. Babies are very cute.", one women says, a smile creeping on to her made-up face. The scientist, Dr. Henry Wu gives a nod, and walks towards the double doors outside the meeting room, giving a brief order to someone standing outside. He comes back in the blink of an eye. "They will arrive soon. They are currently in feeding.", Wu states. Talking ensues about things that Wu simply doesn't understand, such as, cute, and gender. His lips turned downward as the conversation pressed on. The doors opened, and two workers walked in, holding blanket wrapped bundles in their hands. Wu walks over to them, and says in a hushed tone, "I expect a full report of the day for those two.", to which the workers give a curt nod. Wu turns back to the conference table, gesturing to each side of him stood the workers holding the assets. "These, are the future of science and the rule-", Wu is cut off by the happy shriek of a women in a pinstripe suit dress. "They are SO cute!", she gushes. Wu, coughs, and continues, "They will help us to under-", Wu is yet again interrupted. "May we see them up close?", a man in a red tie asks. Wu sighs, knowing that these people could never understand the intent of these assets, so he gives in. "Yes, I suppose that you could see them up close.", he states, shrieks and chaos immediately ensuing. "What are their names?". "Are they boys or girls?". "How old are they?". All of these questions, to Wu, seemed un-logical, unreasonable. This was a meeting to converse about sponsoring assists, not to chat as if it was a baby shower. "Attention!", Wu yelled, grabbing the attention of everyone, "Who, would like to sponsor?". Everyone in the room immediately raised their hands and began giving reasons upon why they should be chosen. Wu's head had begun to ache, the volume in the room being far too loud. One hour, two aspirin, and a lot of irrelevant questions later, and Wu had successfully captured not just two, but five sponsors. Each of them wanted to ensure that these "babies" grew up like normal children. They wanted them to have toys, and food, and candy, and television.
The meeting was over, all of the attendees were gone, and Wu was reading the report of the day. "VR0567 is maturing faster than scheduled. She's already passed the speech tests for a year ahead of her. And it would appear she has fully learned how to speak up when she wants things, such as 'milk' or 'restroom'.", Wu read aloud, not shocked by anything he read. With a sigh he said in his usual monotone voice, "It's as if they looked over the Raptor in her.". He continued reading all about VR0567. She was indeed smart, and in no time she would be cunning as well. Just like a Velociraptor. He brought the other file to his view when he finished with VR0567's. "TR0348 has had a very active day. Right after receiving his morning bottle of milk he ran around knocking over several workers in the process, all to see VR0567. Later on, he 'claimed' a section of the lab and would not allow anyone inside it, using physical force if need be to get workers who tried to enter away from him.", Wu narrated. He was well aware of the strength that TR0348 would have, and develop, as he was the Tyrannosaur hybrid. His attachment to VR0567 was an issue, though. He would have to separate them, for a long while, it would seem. Dependency was not part of the plan that Wu had constructed, if anything, it was counter-productive. "Lucinda.", Wu called to the head of the project, who was grabbing a coffee from the expresso machine. Lucinda let out an audible sigh. She turned to him, and said, as if it was as the biggest inconvenience, "What now, Henry?". "Please, call me Dr. Wu, I am your superior. And it's about the Hybrid project.", Wu said. "When is it not, HENRY.", she spoke, putting emphasis on the word Henry. Wu sighed at the stubborn nature of the woman. Her black hair was tied into a ponytail, wearing denim shorts and a white tank top that had a logo from some brand that Wu didn't care to know. "I would like for TR0348 and VR0567 to be separated for as long as possible. No more joint sessions of anything. They will not be fed, taught, or play together. Please make this a priority.", Wu said in a clear tone. "You mean Rex and Veri?", Lucinda corrects, "And I will not make that a priority. Friends are good for people, especially kids.". "Yes, but they are anything but kids. They are assets that will provide us with-", Wu is cut off yet again. "They are literally babies!", Lucinda yells. "They look like it yes, but they are not human.", Wu sighs, "Just spread the memo.", with that final statement, he turned on his heel and left the room.

Chapter 1:
The shrieks and whistles of the Velociraptors that the girl was near grew louder as they came closer and closer to the place she was hiding. She covered her mouth as to silence her breath. She could hear the crunch of the leaves under the Theropod's clawed feet. The sounds grew ever louder, and the girl knew she was found by the hot breath on the back of her head, rustling her hair. The largest raptor shrieked out, and then placed her head on the girl's crown. "You did well, daughter.", the Raptor whistled, praising the girl for her performance during a pod game of Hide-And-Seek. "Thank you, Mother.", the girl chirped back, proud of herself. The Raptor turned it's head and sniffed into the air. "The humans have returned for you, it would seem.", the mother Raptor whistled. "Mother, I don't want to go!", the girl exclaimed, wanting to stay with the pod of reptiles. "There is nothing I can do. You belong with them. And they know it, and you know it as well. It is the harsh reality that we face in this damned place.", the mother states. The girl nods, and hugs her mother around her scaly neck. The mother nuzzles into her daughter, returning the affection. "HEY! VERI! IT'S TIME!", the loud voice of one of the workers, Allison yells out to me. "Bye, Mother.", the girl, Veri, waves to her mother, and to her family. "Goodbye!", the pod chirps at her, as she turns to leave. She sighs and leaves towards the grate door, to get poked and prodded by men and women in white lab coats. And she would have to see HIM, a pleasure she would have been happy to forgo, especially in exchange for time with her family. "VERI! LET'S GO!", Allison yells, unaware of the girl presence behind her. She taps her shoulder, "I'm right here.". She yelps and jumps. "Don't scare me like that.", she says after composing herself, "And swear that you won't tell anyone about that?". "She won't have to.", someone calls down from the observation rails. "Hi, Owen.", the girl calls up towards the owner of the voice, Owen Grady, the Velociraptor's trainer. "Hey Veri.", he calls down. Allison closes the gate, and they go up to the observation rails. "How's the fam?", Owen asks. "You know how they are, Owen, you see them more than I do.", Veri responds. "Yeah, but you can talk to them, I'm just the guy who feeds them.", Owen laughs. "Ok, Owen, Veri really needs to go now ok?", Allison chides and grabs Veri's wrist, dragging her to the Jurassic World employee car. She opens the door, "Get in?". Veri does as she's told, sitting down on the leather seat. Allison climbs in and sets the car into gear, driving towards the Research Lab. "How do you handle being so close to those monsters? Just waiting for you in there with grate closed makes me so anxious.", Allison shivers, trying to be nice, and converse. "They are my family. The only reason you should be scared is because I hate you. Which means they hate you.", Veri responds coolly. This shuts Allison up, silencing her for the rest of the all-to-long drive. Veri get out of the car the second they pull up to the large, gray building stands. Veri sighs, "At least Lucinda's here.". Lucinda was her favorite person at this hellhole. She was kind, smart, and fiery. But what made Veri love her so much was the way she treated Veri. She treated her like a real human, unlike the others who treated her like she was a monster. Lucinda was the one who gave her a name. Before she was just called 'VR0567'. She could remember everything, quite literally. She remembered the day she was born, vividly, and everything that happened up until now. She waited at the doors for Allison to open the door with her keycard. It was annoying, but necessary for confidentiality. Allison paused for a moment at the door, and turned to Veri. "You should be nicer to me, I just want to help. Lucinda's the only one you talk to.", Allison said as she scanned the keycard. Veri just rolled her eyes, "She's the only one of you that functions on a high cognitive level.". "Stop saying stuff like that. The sponsors won't like it.", Allison groaned. The sponsors, Veri tolerated them, only because they paid for everything she owned. She hated when they came, though. Allison would always dress her in frumpy, frilly dresses, brushing her hair, and putting make-up on her. "You are so lucky. You were designed to be beautiful.", Allison always sighed. It pissed Veri off. She wasn't 'designed to be beautiful", she was 'designed' to be calculated and calm, her brain functioning just as fast as her Velociraptor kin. She was snapped back to present by Allison's bright voice, "They're coming, you know, in like a month. Just to check on you and Rex.". Veri groans at the mention of her male 'counterpart'. He was not, at all, equal to her. She was smart, and cunning. He was brazen and blunt, not to mention stubborn. He was another thing plaguing her life. He was the most obnoxious person ever, worse than Allison, who has already been established as the worst to the Raptor-Like female. "'Worst' didn't even begin to describe the agony that was Rex's entire existence", Veri thought to herself. Allison led her to Veri's designated 'bedroom', a four wall room with a bed, a couch, a T.V, a dresser, a closet, and a bathroom. "You have a short break before we get your daily tests done.", Allison chirps. Veri gives a curt nod, and shuts the door in Allison's face. The room, to Veri, was far to colorful. The walls were a shade of yellow she found to bright for her. The bedsheet was a pattern of some sort, made up of the colors, orange, blue, and brown. Veri goes to the bathroom to relieve herself. She washes her hands, and looks in the mirror. Her cedar hair was, as it usually was, unbrushed and tied back into a ponytail. Her yellow eyes were as cold as she acted, always calculating a plan, always observing. One look into her eyes, and people were uneasy. They felt as though she was constantly figuring out how to get away with their murder. And they knew she could. She was incredibly smart, and had passed all of her educational tests years before she was supposed to learn the material. Veri walked out of her bathroom, expecting the ever-growing nuisance Allison to be awaiting her return. Low and behold, Veri was correct. Allison was indeed waiting for Veri on her bed. Allison gets up as soon as she sees Veri, "We've got to go.". Veri nods, and follows Allison to the an open room labeled 'TEST LAB'. I sit down on one of the stools, and Allison waves at Dr. Wu. Wu comes over and talk to Allison, he then turns to Veri, "Hello, VR0567. How are you today?". "It's Veri. And I'd be better if I wasn't stuck here, with a ditzy blonde as my escort.", Veri says in her usual cold way. Allison rolls her eyes and grunts, "I'm not ditzy, Veri.". Dr. Wu pays no attention to this comment, "We'll get right to your tests.". "Yeah, yeah, just get me back into the Raptor arena.", Veri grunts. Dr. Wu commences the test, taking Veri's temperature and blood pressure. After a few more random doctor tests, Wu lets Veri go, and she quickly gets up, hoping to avoid the inevitable. "Oi, Veri!", Rex's deep voice booms from the other side of the room. Veri doesn't respond, and turns to Allison. "We should get going.", she states, and grabs Allison's wrist. "Wu, I swear, she's gonna be the death of me.", Rex sighs to Wu, who has him sat in the stool now, no doubt about to undergo the same tests as she did, moments ago. Veri and Allison are long gone, leaving Rex stuck with the nutty scientist Wu, and several ACU officers, who were there to 'neutralize' the 'threat' he posed. Like he'd ever waste energy on them. He found it amusing that they thought he would hurt them. He was not his mother, though he wished he was, he couldn't actually hurt them like she could. He couldn't stomp them, or eat them, or even roar. He wasn't scary. He was not actually as bad as they made him seem.

Chapter 2:
Rex's unkept black hair, and red eyes were unsettling to most people. They were like pools of blood, and most people shivered when he looked into his eyes. He was tall, and he towered over most people, which only added to the feeling of unease people had towards him. Veri was the only person who didn't seem fazed by him, besides Lucinda, and the nutty scientist. "Ok. You're done.", Wu said. Rex nodded, and stood up. "So, uh, the sponsors are coming?", Rex asked. "Yes, in a month.", Wu stated, looking at a computer screen now. Rex nodded, and stayed still for a moment longer. "Anyways, I should probably get going.", Rex commented, walking towards the door. "Ready to go?", a voice spoke up from behind the ACU officers, "Oh, let me get through you people. Rex won't hurt me.". The officers parted for a second, and Rex's 'caretaker' appeared. Her blonde hair was tied into a ponytail. Her blue eyes were framed in tons eyeliner, and eye shadow. She looked like a Barbie doll, and Rex hated it. "Rex-Rex, You wanna go to my bungalow?", she purred. "No. I'm good.", Rex chuckled. She obviously had some sort of crush on him, and he found it funny. She thought she had some sort pull on him, like he was putty for her to play with. He might not be as smart as Veri, but he knew a slut when he saw one. "Can I go to Mom's cage?", Rex asked. "Sure.", Becky cooed, grabbing his wrist, and dragged him towards the door, taking him to her car. "You can go now.", Becky directed at the ACU officers. They nodded, "Make sure you call us if he gets aggressive.", one of them spoke up. Becky nodded, and looked at Rex. She fluttered her eyelashes at him, "You won't hurt me, will you?". "No, I won't. Don't think anything of it, though.", Rex snorts. "Awww. Rexy-Poo, don't be rude!", Becky whines. He yanks his arm away from the woman, glaring at her. "Don't give me one of your nicknames.", he growls.

That's all I wrote lol

Thank you for sticking through this messy thing!
Much love, Author-Chan.

2020.11.22 21:58 tutetibiimperes Nugu Roundup #66 - Get on the Gavy Train - 201122 + Final Album Giveaway of 2020

Hello and welcome to the latest Nugu Roundup!
What is this?: This is a weekly feature designed to highlight the unknown/underappreciated groups and soloists working hard in the Kpop world that often fall under the radar. Please share your own information, favorite performance videos, fanmeet stories, or anything else relevant below!
Last week we took a look at the super-nugu boy group Block Chain. This week I'd like to explore a group who I've loved for quite a while, but have been hesitant to feature for a variety of reasons. Depending on how closely you follow Korean vocal/ballad groups you may not consider them to be nugu at all, after all, they've been around since 2005. At the same time, looking through the history of posts in the subreddit their music and news has received very little attention, so I'm going to go with the 'nugu at least to the western Kpop audience' definition with them. Their music also trends towards a more 'Korean adult contemporary' vibe than traditional Idol music, but as I've featured bands that also diverge from that path in the past, and since it's autumn, which is a great time to listen to ballads, I felt y'all might be open to learning about and exploring the discography of Gavy NJ! (fans of more upbeat stuff don't despair though - they certainly have some more upbeat and fun tracks as well!) (due to the amount of content for this week's featured group there will be no soloist of the week or In Memoriam this week)
Look at the first comment below for the winner of the twentieth (and final of 2020) Nugu Roundup Album Giveaway, plus details on this week's album up for grabs!
What is Nugu?: While in Korean it literally means 'Who' in the broader Kpop context it refers to groups that are generally unknown amongst the greater public. It doesn't have to mean they're extremely new, though it can, and there are of course varying degrees of 'unknown' which some groups having very strong niche fandoms and others being almost invisible. I take a fairly broad view and will include groups that may be known to some, but who don't have widespread name recognition.
Let's get on with the show...
Who are they?: A three member vocal/ballad girl group under GoodFellas Entertainment. They debuted in 2005 (and are in fact celebrating their 15th anniversary this month). Their name came from combining the family names of the three original members (none of whom are still members of the group). Their fandom name is Happiness. Despite their long running time as a group, and while they have had some membership changes, there have only been a total of seven members, including the current three, in the 15 year history of the group.
Company: GoodFellas Entertainment has represented Gavy NJ since 2010, previously the group had with Berry Good Entertainment and Vitamin Entertainment. GoodFellas was founded by the group's primary producer Min Kyung Ki and also represents male vocal groups The Postmen and 6 to 8 as well as soloist Ara.

Random Stuff:
Trivia: The group says part of the secret to their longevity is that they have many breakup songs and that many women like to listen to breakup songs after the break up. The members have individual YouTube channels with: Gunji, Seorin, and Jenny. Despite the line up changes and the many years of activity plus experimentations with new sounds the current members say the soul of the original group still lives within them and that there will always be a distinctive character to the group's sound. The group faced some controversy that their title track Lie was similar to Jennifer Lopez's Brave (which paradoxically was more popular in South Korea than the United States). The group came close to a music show win with their 2009 comeback Love Story but unfortunately it was competing with the utter-domination of SNSD's Gee, so the group had to settle for a second-place showing. Likewise the group has flirted with major chart success at various points in the past, with their first two albums reaching within the top-ten on the Gaon Album Charts, and once more with their Sunflower EP. Their peak single positions have been at 11 on the Gaon Charts with Sunfower and You Are Not the Man. Their debut album was their best seller with over 60,000 copies sold, however their physical sales have dwindled with the last several releases failing to eclipse 1,000 sales each despite the quality of their music being better than ever.
It's getting close to the end of the year, which means it's almost time for the 2nd Annual Nugu Awards! Here's what I have planned for the rest of the year:
November 29th (Next Week) - 2020 Debut Highlight Special Edition + Nugu Awards Eligibility Criteria Public Input Poll
December 5th or 6th (depends if I can get it all together in time to post Saturday Morning) - 2nd Annual Nugu Awards Nomination Round
December 12th or 13th (ditto) - 2nd Annual Nugu Awards Voting Round
December 20th - 2nd Annual Nugu Awards Results
December 27th - Year In Review (going to try to do something special with this but I haven't quite figured out what yet)
Because there won't be a 'traditional' Nugu Roundup for the rest of the year this week will be the last album giveaway of 2020.
That's it for today, let's get the discussion on!
As always, if you have any suggestions for groups, content, or things you'd like to see, please let me know in the comments below.
Also as always, a big shout-out to u/not-named-in-credits for founding nugutown and u/sharnaranwan for continuing the work over there.

2020.11.17 13:09 lemonsweeet Small TB Haul with mini reviews - Loewe, Polène, Acne & Isabel Marant (+ a bonus DHG Goyard items)

I knew it would be dangerous to figure out the TB ordering process. At least I stayed relatively chill and only did a smol haul to begin with. (I have another nearly ready to ship though) I doubt these are necessarily new items as I've just been adding stuff into my cart from everyone's amazing finds. But hopefully this is helpful.
Shipping agent: Superbuy
Shipping cost: 290Y (I was refunded 48Y)
Shipping method: EMS
Shipped on: 27/10Arrived: 17/10

I used Superbuy as I liked the fact they have an app and it was so easy pasting links that I found into my cart. The service was overall good, although I've heard they're bit more expensive than other alteratives. I'm currently using Wegobuy for my next haul as I want to try it out. Also, as many know, Superbuy can be a little difficult about branded items. If you want easy to use and convenient, I'd recommend Superbuy because the app is so nice. Everything was packaged well, the parcel was quite compact.
Onto the items:
Loewe Puzzle CardholdeCoin purse (¥383) W2C / My photos / Auth
I really like this! I was surprised at all the detail it has. Even the zipper pull has the tiniest "Loewe" on it. It smells nice, but I'm no leather expert. The logo pressed into the leather could be deeper, but since it's in the lightest colour part, I don't mind it that much. Lot of colour options and few different styles in the link. I would recommend this one definitely.
Polène Numéro Un Nano bag (¥295) W2C / My photos / Auth
I'm sure this has been reviewed here before but anyway: I love it. Unfortunately I got one with the slightly worn/scratched off logo, but I guess it just looks a little worn already. If you're not looking too close it's ok. The bag has good weight to itand feels sturdy. As with the Loewe, impressed with the little details. All the buttons and metal parts are quite detailed with text or little stars. Haven't seen the auth IRL so not sure if these details are correct though. Smells like leather to me. Really happy with this one, I kind of want another colour. I would recommend asking for a detailed photo of the logo when you're purchasing though.
Isabel Marant Lecce Belts (¥ 98 each) W2C / My photos / Auth
Lol. I'd pass on these, even at this price point. There might be better ones out there. These just feel weak and brittle (relatable) I tried to show in one of the photos the wrinkling you get when they bend. If these are leather, they are not good quality, and dry as hell. The black one is more passable and feels maybe a little softer. I tried them on tied like the auth, and because the material is questionable, they don't really want to stay in the knot properly. These also not branded, which I was expecting, but just as a heads up. These also have a seam at the back, whereas the auth is one solid piece I believe.
Acne Studios Scarf in black (¥ 66) W2C / My photos / Auth (not sure if the right one)
It's a plain black scarf, so not much to say here. It feels soft and warm. I have a feeling that at this price point it's not exactly the material it says it is, but I'm pleased with it. Arrived a little wrinkled, but that will go away with wear I'm sure. If anyone is more familiar with Acne's labels, I would welcome CCW as I struggle to review those. Hard to find photos of them on this exact style. I would definitely recommend this (few other colours available too) especially considering the price.
BONUS: I happened to receive my DHG order today too, which was two Goyard pieces. These could work really well as Christmas presents, so I thought I'd share!
Shipped 04/11Arrived: 17/11
Goyard Cardholder (£15.20) W2C / My photos / Auth
Pretty impressed with this! Smells good, I love the packaging it comes in. Looks fairly accurate to me and feels like decent quality too. I'll probably use this either for my extra cards, or when I need an even smaller wallet than the Loewe one I got. I would recommend this, definitely.
Goyard Senat Mini Pouch (£17.20) W2C / My photos / Auth (tricky to find an auth photo that isn't an used item)
Again, happy with this! I wanted something to put my hand sanitizer and maybe few makeup items in, but I wanted it to be quite small. This is perfect for that purpose. I like having a bit of colour in my SLGs as most of my bags are black. Good quality, and even the zip pull has a G detail on it. Zipper was maybe a tad stiff on the first use, but seems fine now.
Hope this is helpful! Not the most detailed reviews, so any questions, send them my way. Happy to add more photos if you want so see anything specific.

For over twenty years Bill Gates and his Foundation, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) have been vaccinating foremost children by the millions in remote areas of poor countries, mostly Africa and Asia. Most of their vaccination program had disastrous results, causing the very illness (polio, for example in India) and sterilizing young women (Kenya, with modified tetanus vaccines). Many of the children died. Many of the programs were carried out with the backing of the WHO and – yes – the UN Agency responsible for the Protection of Children, UNICEF.

Most of these vaccination campaigns were implemented without the informed-consent of the children, parents, guardians or teachers, nor with the informed-consent, or with forged consent, of the respective government authorities. In the aftermath, The Gates Foundation was sued by governments around the world, Kenya, India, the Philippines – and more.

Bill Gates has a strange image of himself. He sees himself as The Messiah who saves the world through vaccination – and through population reduction.

Around the time, when the 2010 Rockefeller Report was issued, with its even more infamous “Lock Step” Scenario, precisely the scenario of which we are living the beginning right now, Bill Gates talked on a TED show in California, “Innovating to Zero” about the use of energy.

He used this TED presentation to promote his vaccination programs, literally saying, “If we are doing a real good job vaccinating childen, we can reduce the world population by 10% to 15%”.

This sounds very much like eugenics.

The video, the first 6’45”, “The Truth about Bill Gates and his Disastrous Vaccination Program”, will tell you all about it.

Robert F Kennedy Jr, an avid Defender of Children’s Rights and anti-vaccination activist, has launched a petition sent to the White House, calling for “Investigations into the ‘Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’ for Medical Malpractice & Crimes Against Humanity“

“At the forefront of this is Bill Gates, who has publicly stated his interest in “reducing population growth” by 10-15%, by means of vaccination. Gates, UNICEF & WHO have already been credibly accused of intentionally sterilizing Kenyan children through the use of a hidden HCG antigen in tetanus vaccines”. (Excerpt from text of Petition)

Robert. F. Kennedy Exposes Bill Gates’ Vaccination Agenda

Now Mr. Gates and his allies, including Big-Pharma, WHO, UNICEF, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of NIAID / NIH, a close ally of Mr. Gates – and of course, Agenda ID2020, are proposing to (force) vaccinate 7 billion people around the globe, with their concoction of a (so far) untested coronavirus vaccine. This is a multi-billion dollar bonanza for Big Pharma and for all those who support the vaccine. Nobody will really know what the vaccine cocktail will contain. They intend to start with the Global South (Developing Countries) and then gradually move North (Developed Countries).

Mind you, there is no need for a vaccine to cure the corona virus. There are many cures:

French Professor Didier Raoult, who is one of the world’s top 5 scientists on communicable diseases, suggested the use of hydroxychloroquine (Chloroquine or Plaquenil), a well-known, simple, and inexpensive drug, also used to fight Malaria, and that has shown efficacy with previous coronaviruses such as SARS. By mid-February 2020, clinical trials at his institute and in China already confirmed that the drug could reduce the viral load and bring spectacular improvement. Chinese scientists published their first trials on more than 100 patients and announced that the Chinese National Health Commission would recommend Chloroquine in their new guidelines to treat Covid-19. The Global Polio Eradication Initiative: “New Technology” used to Locate Children for Polio Vaccinations

By Timothy Alexander Guzman
Global Research, March 05, 2013
Theme: Science and Medicine
Bill Gates of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg were interviewed on Charlie Rose on February 28th, 2013 that mainly focused on the Global Polio Eradication Initiative and how “new approaches” to their agenda can be utilized. Bill Gates along with Michael Bloomberg has contributed large sums of money to numerous causes such as the Global Polio Eradication Initiative originally launched in 1988 by the World Health Organization (WHO), Rotary International, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).Bill Gates has been in the forefront for the depopulation agenda which he publically stated in 2010 during a conference for TED (Technology, Entertainment and Design) that “The world today has 6.8 billion people… that’s headed up to about 9 billion. Now if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services, we could lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 percent.” The Charlie Rose interview was an indication on how new technological advances can possibly help them vaccinate the majority of children in the Third World including Nigeria, Pakistan, Afghanistan and other countries throughout Africa. The technology used to track children for vaccinations is dangerous. It sets the precedence to target children in many Third World countries. Charlie Rose asked Bill Gates about the “New Approaches” used in the process:

Charlie Rose: You mentioned the five or a six year plan the new initiative has learning from old lessons and therefore, coming up with new approaches. What are the new approaches?

Bill Gates: Well, we’re able to use new technology like satellite photos to see are there people moving around, nomadic roots. You know we see if when we go out to get all the children, if there’s some settlement areas that we’ve actually missed. We also put a – – a phone in the vaccine box they carry around that looks where they’re located every three minutes and so it has that GPS data. At the end of the day you plug that in and compare it to where they were asked to go, and you can see if you’re – you’re really covering all the kids.

The “New Technology” used to locate children to administer vaccinations is a method that will be introduced to many countries targeted for depopulation. It is a scenario that poses a threat to humanity. The Polio vaccine has contributed to the more deadly ‘Non-Polio Acute Flaccid Paralysis (NPAFP)’. NPAFP is not any different from polio paralysis, but it is twice as dangerous.

In an article titled “Study: Polio vaccine campaign in India has caused 12-fold increase in deadly paralysis condition” by alternative health website naturalnews.com staff writer Ethan A. Huff reported that:

“The mainstream media has been busy hailing the supposed success of India’s polio vaccine campaign over the past few years, with many news outlets now claiming that the disease has been fully eradicated throughout the country. But what these misinformation puppets are failing to disclose is the fact that cases of non-polio acute flaccid paralysis (NPAFP), a much more serious condition than that caused by polio, have skyrocketed as a result of the vaccine’s widespread administration”

What the polio vaccine has done was increase a more severe condition called non-polio acute flaccid paralysis (NPAFP).

In 2011, for instance, the year in which India was declared to be polio-free, there were 47,500 known cases of NPAFP, which is a shockingly high figure under the circumstances. And based on data collected from India’s National Polio Surveillance Project, cases of NPAFP across India rose dramatically in direct proportion to the number of polio vaccines administered, which suggests that the vaccines were responsible for spurring the rapid spread of this deadly condition.

Not only has NPAFP increased 12 times due to the Polio Vaccine campaign, the cost to India increased 100 times more than the original amount as well. Huff wrote:

According to the IJME report, the entire polio vaccine scam in India was spawned from initial grants made by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and various other groups that claimed the program would eventually pay off. But the overall costs once India started paying for the program quickly ballooned to more than 100 times the initial investment amount, with more than $2.5 billion and counting still being funneled into it.

The Global Polio Eradication Initiative is a fraud. But more importantly, it is a dangerous step towards forced inoculations by the global elites who claim that their philanthropies are supposed to help people. Overall, it sets a dangerous path towards an Orwellian society that will be monitored and targeted for vaccinations that do more harm than good. The ultimate goal is depopulation, not saving populations.

“Mass Sterilization”: Kenyan Doctors Find Anti-fertility Agent in UN Tetanus Vaccine?

In October 2014, the conference of Catholic bishops in Kenya released a statement regarding the tetanus vaccine programme implemented under UN auspices.
The issue was subsequently addressed by Kenya’s Catholic Doctors Association. (see article below).

Published below are the following texts:
a recent review article pertaining to the 2014 findings of Kenya’s Catholic Doctors Association concerning the tetanus vaccine. No update is provided in this article with regard to Kenya.
the original 2014 statement by the Conference of Catholic Bishops.
the 2014 response by UNICEF and the WHO with regard to the tetanus vaccine.
May 23, 2019

According to LifeSiteNews, [November 2014] a Catholic publication, the Kenya Catholic Doctors Association is charging UNICEF and WHO with sterilizing millions of girls and women under cover of an anti-tetanus vaccination program sponsored by the Kenyan government.

The Kenyan government denies there is anything wrong with the vaccine, and says it is perfectly safe.

The Kenya Catholic Doctors Association, however, saw evidence to the contrary, and had six different samples of the tetanus vaccine from various locations around Kenya sent to an independent laboratory in South Africa for testing.

The results confirmed their worst fears: all six samples tested positive for the HCG antigen. The HCG antigen is used in anti-fertility vaccines, but was found present in tetanus vaccines targeted to young girls and women of childbearing age. Dr. Ngare, spokesman for the Kenya Catholic Doctors Association, stated in a bulletin released November 4:

“This proved right our worst fears; that this WHO campaign is not about eradicating neonatal tetanus but a well-coordinated forceful population control mass sterilization exercise using a proven fertility regulating vaccine. This evidence was presented to the Ministry of Health before the third round of immunization but was ignored.” (Source.)

Dr. Ngare brought up several points about the mass tetanus vaccination program in Kenya that caused the Catholic doctors to become suspicious:

Dr. Ngare told LifeSiteNews that several things alerted doctors in the Church’s far-flung medical system of 54 hospitals, 83 health centres, and 17 medical and nursing schools to the possibility the anti-tetanus campaign was secretly an anti-fertility campaign.

Why, they ask does it involve an unprecedented five shots (or “jabs” as they are known, in Kenya) over more than two years and why is it applied only to women of childbearing years, and why is it being conducted without the usual fanfare of government publicity?

“Usually we give a series three shots over two to three years, we give it anyone who comes into the clinic with an open wound, men, women or children.” said Dr. Ngare.

But it is the five vaccination regime that is most alarming. “The only time tetanus vaccine has been given in five doses is when it is used as a carrier in fertility regulating vaccines laced with the pregnancy hormone, Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) developed by WHO in 1992.” (Source.)

UNICEF: A History of Taking Advantage of Disasters to Mass Vaccinate

It should be noted that UNICEF and WHO distribute these vaccines for free, and that there are financial incentives for the Kenyan government to participate in these programs. When funds from the UN are not enough to purchase yearly allotments of vaccines, an organization started and funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, GAVI, provides extra funding for many of these vaccination programs in poor countries. (See: Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Vaccine Empire on Trial in India.)

Also, there was no outbreak of tetanus in Kenya, only the perceived “threat” of tetanus due to local flood conditions.

These local disasters are a common reason UNICEF goes into poorer countries with free vaccines to begin mass vaccination programs.

Health Impact News reported last year that UNICEF began a similar mass vaccination program with 500,000 doses of live oral polio vaccine in the Philippines after a Super Typhoon devastated Tacloban and surrounding areas. This was in spite of the fact there were no reported cases of polio in the Philippines since 1993, and people who have had the live polio vaccine can “shed” the virus into sewage systems, thereby causing the actual disease it is supposed to be preventing. (See: No Polio in the Philippines Since 1993, But Mass Polio Vaccination Program Targeted for 500,000 Typhoon Victims Under Age 5.)

A very similar mass vaccination with the live oral polio vaccine occurred among Syrian refugees in 2013, when 1.7 million doses of polio vaccine were purchased by UNICEF, in spite of the fact that no cases of polio had been seen since 1999. After the mass vaccination program started, cases of polio began to reappear in Syria. (See: Are UNICEF Live Polio Vaccines Causing Polio Among Syrians? 1.7 Billion Polio Vaccines Purchased by UNICEF.)

It seems quite apparent that UNICEF and WHO use these local disasters to mass vaccinate people, mainly children and young women. Massive education and propaganda efforts are also necessary to convince the local populations that they need these vaccines. Here is a video UNICEF produced for the tetanus vaccine in Kenya. Notice how they use school teachers and local doctors to do the educating, even though the vaccines are produced by western countries.

In Kenya, protecting against a silent killer

At least in Kenya, Catholic doctors are acting and taking a stand against what they see as an involuntary mass sterilization campaign designed to control the population of Africans.

October 7, 2014

Health service delivery forms an integral part of evangelization for the Catholic Church. As such, the role played through the Church’s health Apostolate in Kenya cannot be understated.

The Church has an extensive network of health facilities that include 58 hospitals, 83 health centers, 311 dispensaries and 17 medical training institutions. Our health facilities offer a wide range preventive and curative health services, including vaccination. The Catholic Church coordinates these services through the Catholic Health Commission of Kenya – Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB).

The Catholic Health Commission of Kenya, currently meeting at St Patrick’s Pastoral Center Kabula in Bungoma, with health facility managers from 24 Catholic Dioceses are deeply concerned about the following issues regarding the Tetanus vaccination campaign scheduled for of 13th – 19th October 2014:

There has not been adequate stakeholder engagement for consultation both in the preparation for the campaign. The Catholic Church has not been engaged as members and participants of the Health Sector Coordinating Committee and in the respective Technical Working Group. This is despite previous promises by the Ministry of Health to be engaged as a key stakeholder.
There has been limited public awareness unlike other related campaigns like Polio vaccination.
There has been limited public information on the rationale with a background that has informed the initiative since we raised an issue in March 2014.
We are still keen on having the Ministry of Health give Kenyans adequate responses to the following key pertinent questions:

Is there a tetanus crisis in Kenya? If this is so, why has it not been declared?
Why does the campaign target women of 14 – 49years?
Why has the campaign left out young girls, boys and men even if they are all prone to tetanus?
In the midst of so many life threatening diseases in Kenya, why has tetanus been prioritized?
We are not convinced that the government has taken adequate responsibility to ensure that Tetanus Toxoid vaccine (TT) laced with Beta human chorionic gonadotropin (b-HCG) sub unit is not being used by the sponsoring development partners. This has previously been used by the same partners in Philippines, Nicaragua and Mexico to vaccinate women against future pregnancy. Beta HCG sub unit is a hormone necessary for pregnancy.

When injected as a vaccine to a non-pregnant woman, this Beta HCG sub unit combined with tetanus toxoid develops antibodies against tetanus and HCG so that if a woman’s egg becomes fertilized, her own natural HCG will be destroyed rendering her permanently infertile. In this situation tetanus vaccination has been used as a birth control method.

We retain that the tetanus vaccination campaign bears the hallmarks of the programmes that were carried out in Philippines, Mexico and Nicaragua. We would want to participate in ensuring that the vaccines to be administered are free of this hormone.

The Catholic Church acknowledges that maternal and neonatal care is imperative in prevention of death; the Church therefore maintains that adequate and clear information is provided to the general public to avoid misinformation and propaganda in regard to the vaccine. The sanctity of Life and the dignity of the human person must always be priorities in health care and the Catholic Church, in the absence of proper and adequate information will not shy away from raising moral questions on matters affecting human life.

the battle of Qarin Tak & невероятные приключения Գյուլլնազ տատի

Russian reporter Kotenok: I got a report that on October 31st the Turkish-Azeri infiltrator group suffered heavy losses and were thrown back. The 200-member group reached Qarin Tak [2km south of Shushi] and tried to bypass the Armenian troops to enter Shushi.
The group was equipped with Turkish and Pakistani special forces, Syrian mercenaries, and members of Azeri "052 Yashma" special forces. They fell under Armenian fire and were destroyed. Armenians mostly used mortars and rifles against the enemy that was trying to settle on top of a hill. After leaving 50 dead and wounded, the infiltrators retreated.
The second group of Turks tried to advance but was stopped under a fire. After this, the Azeris haven't tried an attempt in this direction. [on November 1st the army spokesman Artsrun did mention something about "Hell Gorge" and how Azeris were ambushed, might be this incident]
After this incident, Azeris began circulating rumors that the attack was actually called off because 300 Russian Wagner Group mercenaries are allegedly in Shushi, so they didn't want to engage the Russians.

Combat footage from October 31st

A reconnaissance group clears the area, followed by Armenian soldiers advancing to engage Azeri-Turkish infiltrators [it's unclear if it's near Hadrut or Shushi].* At the 5:52 mark, you can see a column of Azeri infantry moving on the hill.
Armenians call the artillery and retreat to wait. Smoke is seen in areas where Azeris were spotted. During the battles, 3 Armenians receive a wound. Azeris left 15 dead.

another high-profile jihadist commander is killed by sniper

Lebanese journalist Sago Areyan reports the death of Sultan Murad group's commander Murat Omar, who leads one of the detachment units.
Middle East reporter Elizabeth Tsurkov: Omar al-Jalabi, a commander of Brigade 80 in the Turkish-backed Hamza Division, was killed in Azerbaijan. 9 corpses of Syrians killed in Azerbaijan arrived today to the Hiwar Kilis crossing into northern Syri.
Middle East reporter Lindsey Snell: Sultan Murad commander killed in Azerbaijan (front and center in sunglasses.) Sniper.

few things that happened earlier

Dr. Arshavir Gundjian C.M. wrote an open letter to PM Pashinyan with a suggestion to launch Armenia-Artsakh Reconstruction Bonds, similar to what Israel did in the 1950s to strengthen Israel with the help of their diaspora.
Yezidi-Armenian Parliament MP Rustam Bakoyan shared the photo of his Yezidi friend. "This is Zakar Ozmanyan. He's been in the front lines since the very first day. He is the enemy's worst nightmare."
"This is a geopolitical win," wrote a member close to the government of Azerbaijan, after the installation of an Israeli flag 30km from the Iranian border in the town of Lankaran, which is heavily populated by ethnic Talysh people, who are closer to Iran with religious traditions.
The news was reported by the Iranian outlet Azariha. In the past, Iranian government outlets have raised dissatisfaction with Israeli drones flying at its borders.

Photo of Lebanese Muslim women in Bourj Hammoud donating to Artsakh:
One civilian was killed and another one wounded in Martuni, Artsakh after Azerbaijan's bombing.

November 2 // battlefield & analysis // international response & diplomacy

8:51 WarGonzo reporter: about Azerbaijan bombing the Shushi Mosque yesterday [outer wall and nearby car were damaged]. It was likely a 60mm NATO-supplied mortar used by forest infiltrators. It lacked the shrapnel that's commonly seen in 82mm Soviet-made mortars.
Our sources have confirmed that sometimes the infiltrators will sneak forward and use these lightweight mortars against the civilian infrastructure of Shushi.
10:42-14:23 MoD: there were battles yesterday and last night. Azeris once again used their entire weapon arsenal against Artsakh. They attacked in several directions but could not advance. Azeri column was found and destroyed towards Shushi direction.
At night, in the southeast, Azeris tried to bring armored vehicles. We shot one tank; they pulled back the rest. Several columns were found and destroyed.
Azeris bombed civilian settlements at night.

11:58: Azeri media spread fake news about "Armenia hiring mercenaries". They showed a few diasporan-Armenians who came to help. The "mercenaries" gave an interview to France24 outlet and raised awareness about Azerbaijan's war crimes.
"We make good coffee. They're after us so we can make good coffee for them," joked one of the "mercenaries" who speaks 5 languages and works as an actor in France.
Abu Sipan al Muraddi 69: https://youtu.be/iZdj30kjC_s
Another fake news was circulated by Ilham Aliyev's aide Hikmet Hajiyev. He showed a few Lebanese-Armenian diasporans and called them hired mercenaries.
12:04: a video showing the destruction of Azeri done last night:
12:32: hello, there. Civilians in Stepanakert are out of bomb shelters as soon as bombs stop flying. "Մի լյաաաավ խոռոված ենք անելու when the fighting stops," said one woman.
13:17: Artsakh president Arayik Harutyunyan met the volunteer soldiers from Vladimir Balayan and Shahen Meghryan groups.
"We will still have many opportunities to talk about their heroic deeds for the salvation of the homeland, but in the meantime, we must meet to issue awards.
In the first war, we used to name our groups after Tigran Mets, Aramo, Arabo, but today they are named after the heroes of the First Artsakh War. And the sons of these heroes continue the struggle against the world's most high-tech army, and destroys it.
Near village Avetaranots (6km Shushi), Roland Aydiyan and his Meghryan Group neutralized 20 Turkish special forces. Only 2 enemy soldiers stayed alive and escaped. I'm awarding four soldiers from Meghryan group posthumously now and will have time to talk about the rest of you.
Alexei Balayan (Vladimir Balayan Group) called me last evening and said they detected terrorists in front. He wanted to go forward and engage. I prohibited and said don't take the risk. Then 7:00 am in the morning he calls and says they captured one terrorist alive and can capture more, but I told him his men's lives are worth a lot more than the terrorists so the risk isn't worth it.
Alexei Balayan receives a Combat Cross medal. [lists several more recipients]
Alright, go take a rest now before a new mission," said Arayik.
13:53: Yezidi-Armenians are forming the third group of volunteers, said Yezidi MP Rustam Bakoyan.
"From the beginning of the war, the Yezidi community was ready to take part in the battles, because the citizens of Armenia, regardless of ethnicity, must defend the homeland.
On the evening of September 27, the first detachment was formed in the Yezidi sanctuary of Aknalich. The number of those who wanted to join was so large that the second group was formed, which is currently undergoing military training. At the moment, the third detachment is being recruited. "
14:16 Saudi Arabian outlet Al Yaum wrote about the undeniable fact that Turkey uses Syrian jihadists in Karabakh and is itself involved in the conflict through the use of Turkish soldiers and equipment.
Saudi Al Madina outlet wrote about Turkey's involvement and its neo-Ottoman ambitions.
14:17: some experts believe light-intensity battles can continue for months. [According to international media, jihadists say they signed 3-6-month contracts].
14:31 army: Azerbaijan has lost 7050 soldiers, 6 TOS, 675 tanks and armored vehicles, 25 aircrafts, 16 helicopters, 249 drones.
The graph showing the Azeri losses every day: https://factor.am/303933.html
14:35 Pashinyan: Let's establish the facts. Azerbaijan, with a 10 million population and massive oil revenues, has admitted after the July-2020 events that it's incapable of solving its security tasks on its own, and opted to recruit thousands of mercenaries. We already have the proof.
14:38: Nari Nersisyan and four of her female friends have also decided to join the army. "For a while, we tried to help soldiers as much as we could by other means, but eventually decided to join the front lines. At first, we were concerned about public perception and our physical abilities, but the practice has shown that all the fears were unwarranted. Our soldiers should know that they aren't alone and we're ready to stand next to them."
The five were joined by a group of other women. Hundreds have applied. The MoD is currently organizing their unit.
14:39 MoD: yesterday, between 20:30-23:40, two Azeri squads launched an attack in the north-west. They were stopped during a positional shootout. The enemy sustained many casualties and retreated. The routing enemy was ambushed in a gorge. Their destruction continued with precise grenade launcher strikes.
The second Azeri platoon attacked but was also stopped. Our soldiers chased and destroyed them.
One Armenian soldier was wounded during the two operations. "Get well soon," wrote the MoD spokeswoman Shushan Stepanyan (aka Stepan Shushanyan).

14:57 Artsakh govt: Azerbaijan used military aviation, GRAD, and Smerch, against the civilian settlements of Martuni and Martakert.
Video from Martakert: https://youtu.be/CEcl6MAy37I
15:07: this is Vahe Minasyan. He received a shrapnel wound in Jabrayil, shot two enemy tanks, one armored vehicle, then went a few kilometers to evacuate his fellow soldier:
15:09: the government has sent additional evidence of Azeri war crimes to the European Court for Human Rights. They want ECHR to require Azerbaijan not to mistreat POWs or mutilate the bodies.
ECHR has been informed that Azerbaijan has violated an earlier ECHR ruling and continued to use cluster bombs against civilians.
https://armenpress.am/arm/news/1033607.html , https://armenpress.am/arm/news/1033631.html
15:41: video showing the moment when the second Syrian jihadist Youssif Alabet al Haji was potted and apprehended by Armenian troops:
16:01: Iran has been anxious over the import of Syrian jihadists at its border. They made public statements critical of their presence. Some Turkish govt-loyal outlets fired back at Iran.
Iranian MFA has made another statement critical of the jihadist presence today.
The Iranian government-run outlet İrib News also covered the jihadist topic. A Turkish outlet was upset that the Iranian outlet used evidence provided by the Armenian government.
https://armenpress.am/arm/news/1033616.html , https://factor.am/303961.html
16:23 Russian Vzglyad newspaper: Although Armenia is a CSTO member, Russia has no obligations to aid Artsakh, as it is not part of Armenia. However, there is a misconception that Artsakh is unimportant for Russia. The existence of Artsakh is important for Russia's security and geopolitical interests.
16:56: the army identified and published the names of 11 soldiers who died fighting. Among them are the deputy head of Defense Army Colonel Arthur Sargsyan and Colonel Sergey Shaqaryan.
https://armenpress.am/arm/news/1033620.html , https://factor.am/303817.html , https://news.am/arm/news/611130.html
17:09: ex-Artsakh MoD Jalal Harutyunyan is still in stable-serious condition after receiving a wound earlier.
17:42: the government of Azerbaijan continues to cover up the death toll. Azeri lawyer Aslan Ismailov complains that violence is being applied against the family members of deceased soldiers if their photos/info is posted on the internet. Pictures from funerals are prohibited.
"It has been repeatedly reported that the executive branch did not allow photos from victims' funerals, and sometimes even treated the family members rudely. I think this is absolutely unacceptable. It is possible that for security reasons some institutions instructed it to be kept secret. This does not mean that it should be accompanied by violence," wrote the lawyer.
17:55 army spokesman Q&A: some soldiers stay in front lines much longer because it's impossible to conduct shift rotation, especially if it's still being attacked.
Even if you manage to change the troops overnight, the new ones won't be as effective and knowledgeable, which could compromise the security. The new troops must adapt first, which is impossible during intense battles. There is a shift change in relatively milder areas.
18:44: 50 Armenian and international ecological organizations have raised the alarm about Azerbaijan's intentional torching of 1815 hectares of Artsakh forests with the use of white phosphorus bombs. They contacted the UN, the Red Book agency, Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, and even Greta Thunberg.
https://armenpress.am/arm/news/1033646.html , https://armenpress.am/arm/news/1033661.html , https://news.am/arm/news/611118.htmlsymph , https://armenpress.am/arm/news/1033682.html
19:42 Armenian MoD: at around 18:10, Azerbaijan bombed a military position and civilian settlement near Davit Bek within the Republic of Armenia territory. One civilian was killed and two wounded.
20:16: WarGonzo's video from the front line in the south-east:
20:25: the MFA of Netherlands acknowledged the presence of "Syrian jihadists recruited by Turkey" for Azerbaijan, and said, "it's likely that Turkey is directly involved in the conflict but the exact nature is unclear."
20:37: last month, in October, Turkey sharply increased military deliveries to Azerbaijan. $101m worth aviation and defense equipment. That's according to official Turkish documents.
20:43: Spanish party Vox has urged Congress to take steps to establish a ceasefire in Artsakh. They presented a plan to discuss it in various European institutes and to end arms supplies to Azerbaijan.
22:00 army spokesman Artsrun's briefing: as announced earlier, last night Azeris launched multiple attacks in the north-west direction. Both attacks were repelled. Some of them were trapped and destroyed completely.
Around 7:00 Azeris attacked near Martakert-Martuni (center front) and southern front. All attacks were repelled. In some locations, they were chased and our troops captured some positions.
South of Martuni (towards Chartar) Azeris took 1-2 positions; later we launched artillery strikes and caused heavy casualties to them in these positions.
The battles continue. Overall, all the attacks failed today. They used mostly groups of infantry and aviation. We monitor the enemy's movements and penetrated mainly with artillery.
In some areas, Azeri bodies have been lying on battlefields in front of our positions for 20-30 days. Azerbaijan refuses to collect them because they don't care about them.
Today, near one of the villages in the Hadrut region, Azeri groups left 15-16 dead bodies and routed. Sometimes the bodies can cause issues with disease, sometimes not.
The Azeri infantry and armored vehicle fleet have sustained significant damage. It's visible in the past 10 days. They often use mercenary terrorists who attack without armored vehicles, although they try to aid them with air and artillery.
Q: is it true that Azeris can monitor every location and movement of our positions?
A: entirely possible, since Turkey is in charge of the Azeri army and uses its equipment. But it's not a catastrophic thing. We also have reconnaissance tools. It's not just about hiding, it's also about misleading the enemy with your actions.
Q: who produced and sold the phosphorus bombs to Azerbaijan?
A: we're investigating.
The war continues. The enemy continues to attack in all directions with the use of a wide range of weapons. We carry out our defense duties appropriately by causing heavy casualties to the enemy.
The war is hard but I'm confident that our soldiers are in charge. They gain experience day by day. They study the enemy, better analyze their plans, and find better antidotes against their high-tech. Be confident, we will win.
23:30: UEFA has launched an investigation against Azeri Garabag FC soccer club official Ibrahimov for inciting genocide against Armenians.

the economy

Deputy PM Mher: It was possible to ensure a stable micro-business environment despite the pandemic and the war. It's unprecedented. It's a result of effective cooperation with the Central Bank. 2021 will be a tense year but I'm sure we'll approve a suitable budget.
Finance Minister Atom: the 2021 budget assumes a 6% economic fall in 2020, and 4.8% growth in 2021. These predictions can change.
With the restoration of demand, inflation is expected to approach the lower limit of the target.
The year began with high growth but COVID stopped it. April was the worst. Slightly recovered in May when physical restrictions were lifted. Got worse again in June, followed by improvement in August. The Services industry was hit the worst.
The Debt-to-GDP ratio will rise to 65% in 2020 and lower to 63.2% in 2021.
Central Bank president Martin: The state budget deficit relative to GDP will reduce by 2% in 2021. After the debt expansion in 2020, there will be a certain restraining policy in 2021 guided by the principle of ensuring medium-term debt stability.

Dokładnie sześć dni przed wyrokiem Trybunału pod wodzą Julii Przyłębskiej, który zakaże w Polsce aborcji i doprowadzi do masowych protestów w obronie praw kobiet, do Trybunału wpływa 8-stronicowa opinia z logo European Center for Law and Justice (ECLJ). " System praw człowieka nie stwarza żadnego prawa do aborcji (...). Aborcja nie jest prawem, lecz naruszeniem lub odstępstwem od prawa do życia" - głosi dokument, podpisany przez Gregora Puppincka, dyrektora organizacji.
Globalne imperium Sekulowa
European Center for Law and Justice to jedna z kluczowych organizacji na mapie najbardziej wpływowych instytucji skrajnej prawicy. ECLJ jest europejską odnogą American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), grupy chrześcijańskich prawników i aktywistów.
Oprócz kierowania ECLJ, Puppinck stoi za międzynarodową, antyaborcyjna inicjatywą "One of Us".
Siatka wchodzi do ministerstwa
W konferencjach organizowanych przez Ordo, biorą udział eksperci ECLJ. W 2015 roku Ordo Iuris wraz z ADF przesłało rumuńskiemu parlamentowi analizę i memorandum, w którym wzywały do odrzucenia przepisów mających w przyszłości doprowadzić do legalizacji związków osób tej samej płci. Zaś w 2018 roku, Ordo Iuris odnosząc się do uwag Komitetu Praw Człowieka ONZ, skierowanych do polskiego rządu, a dotyczących m.in. dostępu do aborcji w Polsce, przygotowało komentarz do tych rekomendacji. Jej stanowisko poparło wiele organizacji międzynarodowych, w tym ADF.
ECLJ i Ordo Iuris angażują się w te same sprawy przed Europejskim Trybunałem Praw Człowieka (ETPC) - w czerwcu 2020 r.
Ordo Iuris prezentowało ją najpierw podczas konferencji w Warszawie, a miesiąc później w Brukseli, uzyskując dla swojej inicjatywy poparcie polityka PiS Ryszarda Czarneckiego, byłego wiceprzewodniczącego Parlamentu Europejskiego. Gregor Puppinck, szef ECLJ.
Szczegóły współpracy organizacji pro-life w Europie w ramach Agendy Europe opisał w raporcie o wpływach religijnych ekstremistów Neil Datta, sekretarz Europejskiego Forum Parlamentarnego ds. Ludności i Rozwoju.
Z jednej strony, organizacja ta lobbuje, by wprowadzić radykalnie prawicową agendę do legislacji. Z drugiej, buduje wpływy, wprowadzając swoich przedstawicieli do rządów i ośrodków władzy. TFP to nie jest zwykła organizacja pozarządowa. To polityczny silnik, który promuje powrót do średniowiecznego widzenia świata i chce go narzucić wszystkim".

2020.10.24 15:52 Turbulent-Ad740 Cultural References of Southeast Asia from Raya and the Last Dragon teaser

Hi guys! I made a full list of the cultural references of Southeast Asia from the teaser alone along with questions that I need answers for. I’m Malaysian, so do note there are other SEA countries I’m not familiar with so I need SEAns to come and point out anything I missed out and correct any mistakes. Thanks to those who helped me before..
(Be sure to look out this symbol *UPDATE* especially for returning readers so I hope its easy to spot.)

The Basics

- Raya’s name in Indonesian & Malaysian means “Great”. Like Indonesia’s national anthem is “Indonesia Raya” which means “Great Indonesia”. In Thai, it means "Frill or Swag". In Sanskrit it means “King” / “Prince”.
- Her Armadillo friend, Tuk Tuk. Is named after the taxi-motorcycle hybrid in Thailand and he serves as Raya’s vehicle. That’s genius if you ask me.
- The martial arts and the weapon (double sticks) are from the Philippines, called the Arnis, Kali, or Eskrima. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arnis With the speculation that the man Raya fought with is her father, the Arnis fighting techniques are taught by fathers to their children. An inherited martial art.
*UPDATE\* https://www.distractify.com/p/raya-and-the-last-dragon-country This verified that Raya used Eskrima sticks and the martial art in the teaser. Even though there are similarities with Cambodian martial arts.
Another relative is Cambodia. In martial arts like Kbach Kun Boran Khmer https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kbach_kun_boran and Bokator https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bokator that also use the double sticks weapons that are called Dambong Clei / Short sticks.
It has confirmed that the production team look up into Cambodia’s martial arts in this article: https://www.khmertimeskh.com/50751459/raya-and-the-last-dragon-due-for-release-next-year-brings-pride-to-cambodia/
The wavy sword that passed down to Raya actually has multiple names but to my heritage it’s known as the Keris https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kris . The Keris dagger is used during the Majapahit Empire through the Austronesian part of SEA. From Java, Indonesia to Melaka and other regions in Malaysia, to Sulu and Mindanao and Southern Philippines.Do note that the sword is much wider and longer, and it’s hilt is much different than a traditional keris. Hence some pointed out that it resembles the Kalis, a Filipino double edged sword with wavy edges that’s similar to a keris. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalis The sword itself may be a mix of these said regions.
- As for the stone people in the desert. This is just a speculation, we have many folktales of people turning to stone. Most notably in Malaysia, we have a creature that’s called Sang Kelembai, a giant that curses animals and humans to stone. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sang_Kelembai
In Philippines, there's a magical bird called Ibong Adarna, it is said in it's tale https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ibong_Adarna : The bird sang and lulled the prince of the story to sleep. Then later pooped (yes, you read that right) on the sleeping prince which turned to stone.
They are also doing the Wai gesture. Commonly known in Thailand. Also exists in Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar. The gestures are used for greetings, expressing gratitude and apologies. That seems interesting to know whether if they are really humans that turned to stones and had a mystery for us to find or simply statues from a torn down place.

Run down on the dragons of SEA

In Filipino mythology, there’s a water dragon called Bakunawa. Known as the Moon Eating Dragon. I can’t simply explain it so here’s a well researched video: https://youtu.be/s6xZNFvPklo
In Malaysia and Indonesia, it is known as Naga. The influence derived to any countries who have the background of Hinduism and Buddhism since long ago the Majapahit, Srivijaya, Ayutthaya and Khmer empire are influenced by it. It's also written in Mahabharata. Naga (or Phaya Naga in Lao) is almost everywhere in the temples in Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar and Laotian since the myth said that the Naga is living in the country who have Mekong river on it.
Interesting find of the Naga in Cambodia, it consists of Seven Heads. They represent the seven races within the Naga society. Depicted as guardian statues, carved as balustrades on causeways leading to main Cambodian temple

Environment and Architecture

- The Rootop Raya jumped on resembles the rooftop designs of Traditional Khmer housing in Cambodia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traditional_Khmer_Housing
There also similar designs found in:
Laos https://www.orientalarchitecture.com/cid/90/laos/luang-prabang,
Thailand https://www.orientalarchitecture.com/cid/109/thailand/chiang-mai
- The Temple Ruins
The most famous resemblance is Angkor Wat in Cambodia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angkor_Wat https://www.orientalarchitecture.com/cid/8/cambodia/angkor
And the Borobudur Temple in Indonesia: https://curlytales.com/indonesia-has-the-worlds-largest-buddha-temple/
Also temples that be can found around Bali https://www.ithaka.travel/blog/bali-temples/
- The view of the island of Kumandra (The Disney Logo, the first part of the teaser):
The island landmarks reminiscences of the seaside landmarks in Thailand and Philippines. The only one that pops in my head is one from Phuket, Thailand https://www.jetsetter.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/7/2018/04/rxCDne1W-1380x690.jpeg
The building / castle on the unique shaped rock consists a lot of Myanmar's architecture, especially the dome shaped roof https://www.orientalarchitecture.com/cid/208/myanmabago
- Deserts does exist in SEA!
In Vietnam: https://theculturetrip.com/asia/vietnam/articles/a-guide-to-mui-ne-vietnams-white-and-red-sand-dunes/
and Philippines: https://www.vigattintourism.com/tourism/articles/The-Dessert-of-the-North-La-Paz-Sand-Dunes

Clothing and Accessories (This is a Work in progress, feel free to add in)

-The Mask:
There are debates of which country this mask is based on, most mentioned: Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia.
Let’s see the Thai influences:
\* It bears resemblances to the Thai Yaksha. Known in Buddhist mythology, they are the giant guardian warriors who keep away evil and can be seen at the temples in Thailand. This makes since the man who wores it (I believe he's Raya's father / mentor) was guarding the Dragon gem and his stance is very similar to the stance of the Thai Yaksha https://www.thaizer.com/culture-etiquette/yaksha-the-guardian-giants/
\* Khon masks in the traditional Thai masked dance and stage play also bears similar carvings and color palettes along with the Thai Yaksha. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD6Zug4fWQY
Direct back to their dragon mythology of Bakunawa, they have masks that resonate with the dragon. https://ebth-com-production.imgix.net/2017/05/16/09/15/34/9278d21c-54a3-4b45-b206-9c86fe5a2493/file?ixlib=rb-3.1.0&w=880&h=880&fit=crop&crop=&auto=format As you can see, the structures are much similar. From the flat base, to the eyes and mouth sockets. It makes more sense since the man who bears the mask is speculated to be the Guardian of the Dragon Gem before Raya.
The first thing that pops in people’s mind is the mask performance in Bali of Barong and Rangda. https://www.thenotsoinnocentsabroad.com/blog/barong-king-of-the-spirits-on-bali To be honest, they bear the least similarities.
However! There are many other masked dances / performances across Indonesia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Topeng_dance. Look back at the mask from the teaser, at the eye region. There are paint strokes at the eyelids and wrinkles on the forehead. Similar to the mask of Wayang Topeng https://image.shutterstock.com/image-photo/wayang-topeng-east-java-traditional-600w-649336813.jpg that used paint strokes to draw out the features of the mask.
As I said with Raya's weapon is a mixture of different regions, same goes for the mask. Along with the speculation that man is Raya's mentor, sums up the idea that the Guardian of the Dragon Gem represents the unity of the nations.

Raya’s clothing

Huge thank you to this video for the breakdown! : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRa91AEz29c

Young Raya

(Oh boy, the Korra / Katara twin. TBH, I’m pissed to how similar they look and the art direction with the monotone colour concept.)
The criss cross of the sash over the torso, the armbands, forearm protection (gloves), the sarong over her waist and the tight pants actually from the Female Bokator clothing (yes, the Cambodian martial art mentioned earlier): https://i.pinimg.com/originals/48/8b/f5/488bf54321d2769facb1cc3be445d2d1.jpg https://i.pinimg.com/originals/7f/4b/96/7f4b96b11da3224c034d326d67344bec.jpg
(TBH, I think the wrappings around the arms look more badass than the gloves. Now that debunks the ‘water tribe’ look besides the color)
The metallic armbands is still a writing in progress
- The sarong, judging from the Bokator uniform (you can take a closer look at the teaser, 0:22), this could be the silk that can be found in the Indochinese Peninsula. Silks like Thai and Laos silk (I would like someone to give me a better description about these silks and how it’s different from another)
Unfortunately, we can’t take a closer look to truly see the textures and motifs. Some debated that it’s the Songket which the textures are much rough and gritty.
The Songket is part of the brocade family of textiles of the Malay world (found in Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore and Southern Thailand). Hand woven in silk or cotton and the intricate patterns like the diamond motifs on Raya’s sarong are woven by silver or gold threads. https://www.jakel.my/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/SONGKET-ELA-8.jpg
The debate is still in session, if we can truly see the texture and motifs. Then it’ll answer our questions since every textiles of the empires has its own motif designs and materials used to craft their textiles.
- Her hairstyle and the rings wrapping around the ponytails relevant to the Burmese traditional hairstyles (but they have many shapes and forms, why the hell they picked one like Korra’s???) :
As of now, I still haven’t found solid references for the mask and footwear.

Adult Raya

- The design of the conical shaped hat she wore is worn in most regions of SEA, and goes by different names from specific regions. Vietnam = Non La. Philippines = Salakot. Indonesia = Caping.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asian_conical_hat
- We can see her top without the cape in the movie poster before the teaser and yet again, it resembles the Bokator clothing! Including the wrappings around her arms. https://scontent.fkul16-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/fcp0/e15/q65/108592201_709169989933514_6724662201466774818_n.jpg?_nc_cat=101&ccb=2&_nc_sid=110474&efg=eyJpIjoidCJ9&_nc_ohc=qtfBAkCb4sIAX9lsXSo&_nc_ht=scontent.fkul16-1.fna&tp=14&oh=03be8f28bf19c6fe171e6c2c6622da82&oe=5FC28CCC
The rest are still a mystery. From the armor on her arm, the vest, belt, pants, the footwear and the cape.

The Tribes (Another Work in Progress, some stated are just to point out observation. You are welcome to fill in the details)

Huge thank to Pao from (paoartworks) on Twitter and Instagram for breaking down the SEA inspiration on the tribes: https://twitter.com/paoartworks/status/1319158960188919810
From her SEA area studies, the Yellow and Purple clan are taken inspiration from Maritime Southeast Asia. The Grey and White from Mainland Southeast Asia. Do note that it's from her studies, not mine. As some in my list below stated some differences.

- On their banner, it's similar to the Khmer (Cambodia) numeral for 1. Thai and Lao have similar numerals because they adopted the Khmer numerals https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khmer_numerals
- Weapons: The sickle are the common utilities in agriculture and weapons in Silat / Pencak Silat. Names: Sabit / Arit. Also known as Celurit in Madura, East Java, Indonesia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celurit
- The head wrap on the female leader's head is quite peculiar. A certain style of wrapping along with a strand of beads.
There are specific folds and design of head wraps around Malaysia and Indonesia.
In Kelantan, Malaysia. There's a headdress called the Semutar. https://www.facebook.com/GedungWarisanJawi/photos/a.587095274635294/801923933152426/https://my-test-11.slatic.net/p/c8605d6a3a246c275bd21d58b505dda5.jpg
In Bali, Indonesia. There's a headdress called the Udeng. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/38/e7/ba/38e7ba2f90a3703b05805b474a57aa54.jpghttps://nowbali.co.id/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/NB-Aug-20-Typical-Bali-Udeng-576x1024.png
As for the beads. In Sarawak, East Malaysia (Borneo) there are traditional crafting with beads from the indigenous people of Iban, Bidayuh and Orang Ulu. Here's one similar on to the teaser: https://bombasticborneo.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Ceramic-Beads-Handicrafts-Lawas-Lmbang-Sarawak-Malaysia.jpgOther types of beadwork: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/40/0e/11/400e1145907407530a0ab14459aaaf49.jpghttps://i.pinimg.com/originals/d5/b1/05/d5b10572adcabd3eb67a1d49a09a0536.jpg
- The colour yellow for Malaysia and Brunei, is the colour of royalty. Also used in the flags of the respective countries.
It is also the most common colour to obtain natural dye ingredients in SEA such as Kunyit (Tumeric), Cempedak (Jackfruit), Mango leaf and bark and Kayu Kuning (Cockspur Thorn)
"Why are you talking about dye ingredients?" One, I studied batik textiles in secondary school and made natural dyes before. Two, blame the people debating about the purple fabric!!

- THE PURPLE DEBATE!! There have been people commenting about the usage of purple dyes in the past, especially the famous fact that purple textiles are difficult to obtain and only European royals wore them. Some said the SEA obtain the natural ingredients to make purple and taken away by colonisers. There is no solid / discovered evidence for this because in fact, the Royal Purple that we know of were extracted by sea snails from the Mediterranean Sea.
While I haven't yet discovered the staple ingredients that were used at SEA in the past. The local ingredients are proven to be able to produce purple dyes such as Ube (Purple sweet potato) and red cabbage. Bunga Raya *hint hint* (Hibiscus) can produce reddish purple dyes. While the shells of mangosteen actually produce black dyes.
- Weapons: Similar to machete-like weapons such as Rencong from Aceh, Indonesia https://i.pinimg.com/originals/9b/da/87/9bda87ab982c9492f2e6ae49a3cf3a9c.jpg

(Grey / Elephant Tribe)

- Weapons: Notably the only group that uses battle axes. The closest I can find is the Chipan / Jipan, found in both Indonesia and Malaysia. Sadly no pictures found
- Elephants are seen behind the tribe. There are War Elephants used in battles like the Burmese - Siamese War. The conflict between the Konbaung dynasty of Burma (Myanmar) and the Ban Phlu Luang Dynasty of Siam (Thailand).
The motif of the elephant's tusk even their colours are on their clothing and banners.

- The clothing on the women highly resembles the Chakkri from Thailand. https://i.pinimg.com/564x/30/f1/83/30f1839fe8f598f20a2ae7b0cc61862c.jpghttps://i.pinimg.com/564x/6d/9f/98/6d9f988545f075770ab74bb9db75db3e.jpg
- Weapons: Spears and swords with a very distinctive shape of its blade, looks like it's made from animal bones
- Wolfs are seen behind the tribe

2020.10.17 22:49 whitetiger739 ROC's Three Major Political Parties before the 90s!

ROC's Three Major Political Parties before the 90s!

Did you know, ROC government used to have 3 major political parties before 1990s. Although the KMT was the main political party of the ROC government, there are two political parties that also joined the ROC government in terms of agreeing and abiding the Three Principles of the People and KMT's ideologies. The other parties valued more on one of the Three Principles while KMT is an overall of the three principles. Therefore, the ROC government is considered as multi-party government with same ideologies. Lets take a look at the three political parties shall we!

The KMT was originally started as anti-Qing organizations along with advocation of republicanism and livelihood throughout China with the leader: Dr. Sun Yat-Sen. KMT early members met in Hawaii and Hong Kong to discuss the ideas of future China without Qing along with organizing uprisings through donations and volunteers willing to sacrifice for the revolution. KMT logo - Blue Sky and White Sun - was designed by Lu Haodong which he was commemorated as the first martyr of the democratic revolution when he saved the KMT by burning the membership book to prevent in the hands of the Qing before he was captured and executed by the Qing. The KMT ideology composed of Sun's Three principles of the People: Nationalism, Democracy, and Livelihood.

Youth China Party ( 中國青年黨 )
Inspired by the Young Turks, Chinese students met in Paris and formed the Youth China Party with their leader Zeng Qi ( 曾琦 ) . The party's goal is to eliminate warlords in China, eliminate foreign occupations, and establish strong central government which unifies everyone in China under one government. They favored more nationalist ideas where everyone are the supporters to the ROC and share common national & political ideas. They opposed autocratic and one-party state government like the CCP(Chinese Communist Party) and Chiang Kai-Shek's rule while in favoring of democratic-republic government and Sun's Three Principles of the People. YCP continues to participate with the ROC government from their foundations until the 90s when they're voted out by DPP. Today, YCP is considered as political organization and continue to denounce CCP while advocating and spreading awareness of ROC and Sun's ideologies. Fun fact: One of the YCP's member was part of the first ROC delegates to the UN's first conference in San Francisco.

Chinese Democratic Socialist Party ( 中國民主社會黨 )
Chinese Democratic Socialist Party was founded by Carsun Chang ( 張嘉森 ) - social democratic and one of the key leaders that drafted the ROC's 1947 Constitution. CDSP opposed communism, capitalism, one-party state, and guild socialism. Chang and CDSP composed of mixed ideas from democratic-socialism and social democracy where they advocate world peace, individual rights, economic development, women's rights, democratic-republic government, and narrowing the gap of rich and poor. They support mixed economies where public and private enterprises are mixed, social welfare programs, and socialization of livelihood major industries like electricity and transportation through government officials, technicians, & consumers collaboration. These ideas were inspired by Sun's Livelihood doctrine and German Social Democracy Party (SPD). CDSP continued to participate with the ROC government until the 90s where they were lost to the DPP. Today, CDSP got dissolved in 2020, but the YCP continues to carry on the legacy of CDSP and preserving their history and ideologies for future generations in hoping to revive YCP and CDSP back to ROC government. Their symbol are red, white, and black with green tic-tac-toe symbol known as 井田制度 where the 8 surrounding squares are for producing food to the farmers only while the center field is where 8 farmers work together to provide food to their lords from that center field from the Zhou Dynasty .

Even though these political parties have different ideologies from each other, they share common values that contribute to the Three Principles of the People and strengthening the ROC's government for the people's interests throughout Republic of China. KMT, YCP, and CDSP work and cooperate with each other to make the best possible agreements that serves each other's ideologies unlike today where KMT and DPP fight each other for policy. Could've been better if YCP and CDSP still serve in ROC government than DPP today? Perhaps so. Could've been better if people that wants economic reform join the KMT or CDSP than CCP? Even better!

2020.10.17 20:33 allspoken Got my hands on the upcoming Tom Bihn Shadow Guide 33. Impressions, photos and happy to answer any questions!

Edit: I’m plugging Tom Bihn’s mask project. They’ve given out over 150,000 masks free to nonprofits. If you need a bad ass reusable cloth face mask buy them from Bihn.
edit 2: this review is mirrored on my blog here - if you're planning on buying something from Bihn click a referral link through the blog. I'm a shitty blogger, as you can tell, so we don't make much money but I'm trying to earmark enough money for the quarter to buy a CPL v2.
Hi folks! I've been lucky enough to get to know the Tom Bihn folks after sending some unsolicited feedback on Synapse that helped influence their Synik travel bag.
I've since been able to test drive a few prototypes and they recently sent me their new Shadow Guide 33 to try out. I believe this is the production model.
Note - I am NOT an influencer / blogger, whatever. No referral links here. I tried to go the blog route a while ago and it's a huge grind I am not dedicated to. I'm really just a layperson giving an unbiased look at a bag that was super interesting to me. I've never really carried a klettersack style bag like this so this is a neat chance to try this out.
My TL;DR - has dethroned my Synik for two-bag travel along with an aeronaut 30. Will still carry Synik on work travel with a rolling suitcase. I can't figure out how I'd possibly EDC this bag though.
First, photos:
OK so for a brief review:
First about me, so you have a frame of reference. I fly between 80 - 100k miles a year in non corona times. Mix of work and personal. I'm a big believer in two-bag travel. For personal travel I carry an Aeronaut 30 in duffle mode and either a synapse 25 or a GR1 26L. For work travel I roll a BR Baseline carryon and use the Synik 30's luggage passthrough. I've found Synik isn't great to carry but it makes a great bag in conjunction with a suitcase.
My personal loadout is TB heavy but this is only after trying and selling the vast majority of popular bags in the travel and EDC spheres. On the travel front, I hate the 'one size fits all' model that companies like tortuga try to sell, and have found TB makes the best gear for my particular preference. For EDC the only non-TB bag I've found I love is the Evergoods CPL24 which I sold to try the A19 Evade and regret very much.
Anyway, on to the review:
Aesthetics - the bag is cool as fuck, shockingly un-tom bihn like. Even the logo patch being minimal is so very un-TB. I could see this fitting in well with the outlier bros. What was wild to me is how small it looks on your back. Above I have photos of my wife trying it out - she's 5'4" and tiny and it still fits great on her fully packed out.
I feel like these type of bags lend themselves to having a bunch of dangly bits and I am probably going to try and roll or cut the strap fabric a bit to reduce this. What I love about the bag is that it comes off as very minimal (again, NOT tom bihn's usual aesthetic) but has the practical functionality you expect from TB bags.
Usability / Comfort - Again, shocked by how comfortable it fits against my back even when fully packed out. The back is rigid and structured, moreso than my synapse and Synik bags, which I think makes the laptop compartment feel more protected. There's also more room for laptops for you men and women who carry bigger laptops. They're making a smaller model size and I'm very curious to see how tiny that would be in practice - this 33 size is really solid.
I've always had an issue with my Synik - the straps felt too spaced apart and were weird on my shoulders. Happy to say that the Shadow Guide has completely fixed it. I'm not sure if the straps are different than Synik (they are a bit narrower) but the straps + weight distribution lead to one of the most comfortable bags I've ever carried.
From an EDC usability perspective: can't figure out how I could use this daily. It's a great looking bag but it's a big empty cave inside. This is the first time I've used this style of bag before, so maybe a learning curve for me but even with my work stuff (laptop, notebook, pens etc plus occasionally a hardhat and equipment) it's still empty looking. I found myself putting most of my stuff in the top 'lid' portion of the bag, and then I'd grab a raincoat to drop in the main compartment just to pad it a bit.
If I were a student carrying books I'd be ALL OVER this bag. If you have a heavier load daily and can organize yourself into a big cave of a main compartment this thing is a dream.
For one or two-bag travel I anticipate that this will entirely replace my Synik or Synapse. The 'lid' of the shadow guide gives you more than enough storage space for everything you need on a plane. I'm already expecting to not even have to pull my bag out from under-seat storage, instead being able to flip down the 'lid' and access stuff there. The big main cavern is perfect to load up with whatever you need for your journey, but again it's a BYOO situation as you'll want packing cubes etc to make sure everything fits. One thing while test packing I realized is you kind of have to tetris everything in.
One usability quirk I noticed: before arriving I expected this to have a flat bottom that would allow the bag to stand vertically. Always helpful in an airport. The bottom of the bag slants to keep your gear positioned against your back. It makes it WAY more comfortable to carry but it doesn't sit flat on the ground. I agree with the choice here. I tend to think about bags in terms of how I will feel carrying it halfway through a customs line when I just need a nap and ultimately the comfortable carry way offsets any annoyance of having to prop the bag up against something.
If you are coming from the Synapse or Synik, there is no elegant water bottle storage. This may be a deal breaker for some.
Conclusion: This thing is going to be my partner on all non-work travel, when I'm not rolling a suitcase. It is awesome to carry and I am already mapping out the 'lid' storage for easy access when I'm moving around the country. I didn't think I'd like the form factor but I've been super impressed by how comfortable and easy it is to carry, even when fully packed out.
It isn't going to be an EDC bag for me but I'm totally sold on it as a partner along with my Aeronaut. Great bag.
Ultimately I hope TB makes a 'traditional' backpack in a 24ish liter size with these same aesthetics. The minimal styling is a nice change from their normal aesthetic and I think they did a great job of keeping usability a prime consideration.

2020.10.13 02:29 kyngggg 100k giveaway - Le Vagin is not male! As inspired by Emily in Paris 🇫🇷

“Why is the vagina masculine?”… “Maybe it’s because it’s something a woman owns an a man possesses.”

My moodboard is inspired by the new Netflix show Emily in Paris. When Emily posted “the vagina is not male!” as a marketing tagline, I knew I was hooked! (Referencing how the vagina is a male pronoun in French). While it’s mostly tongue in cheek humour, I feel it sends a stronger message. Society may still be defined by some chauvinistic ideas, but it should not hold us back from unapologetically being ourselves. The subtle undertone of the show exuded girl power, with many alpha roles dominated by women. And obviously, if you haven’t watched the show, the fashion is reason enough! My moodpboard is inspired by outfits from the show, being just a little bit of extra, with colours, textures and prints.

I love how Emily always dressed as she wanted, borrowing elements from Parisian fashion, and never letting people tell her how to dress. It kinda hit home, when I was younger my mother would always yell at my sister and I for dressing over the top, telling us that we’ll look like clowns and men will laugh at us for dressing as such, we’ll never find husbands blah blah blah. Thank god it never stuck, and we still dress the way we love today. My sister has a coat in the exact same hot pink shade that Emily wore in the show (no surprise, mama hates that coat!) and of course, it has to be featured in this mood board.

I tried to make this moodboard as “shoppable” as possible, and the clothes in the moodboard are the actual clothes from the taobao listings, and at pocket friendly prices because I’m a slut for cheap TB stuff, plus bonus mod shots of some of the items which I’ve bought before! I didn’t link some items as I’m sure these are easily sourced from your favourite TS for bags/shoes/earrings.

Item - Chanel WOC in Burgundy Caviar with LGHW
Seller - TS Redden
Factory - CC/CD Factory
Price - About 110 USD

My Pictures Modshots
I love this bag so much! I’ve always been a small bag girl, I realise I always subconsciously reach for the bags which are small and handsfree, where it’s so light I forget I’m wearing the bag. I’ve learnt to downsize my life, and generally all I carry in this bag is some cash, keys, ID, tissues and occasionally a phone power bank.

What I Like: Initially I bought a WOC because I felt I just needed one in my collection, it was on sale and at that price point, it was a steal. It’s a beautiful colour, and dark enough to easily match with most colours. Stye wise, it's actually a lot more versatile than I thought, it can be worn crossbody, or the chain can be doubled up for a shorter drop, or to give it more detail to the bag (first photo in the album of my pics), and it can be hand carried or used as a clutch!

What I Don't Like: When the bag first came the chains were squeaky AF! Not so much a factory/rep problem, as it happens in auth a lot too. However, in my experience, CC/CD’s bags generally come with squeaky chains. Two easy fixes I’ve personally tried and have worked are leather conditioner, and baby powder. The only thing that is slightly annoying with this bag would be the button closure, the magnetic one would definitely be more convenient.

Would I recommend?: If you like to pack your kitchen sink every time you step out of the house, then this is not the bag for you. Otherwise, if you're a small bag girl, yes, definitely!

2020.10.02 22:01 Juneangel42 Taking the plunge: Items I've ordered from AE, DHG and Superbuy/TB

Hi Ladies, I am so glad I came across this sub while searching the net for a Lindy look-alike bag. I've been dreaming of that bag for months, but I just can't justify the new price tag, and I'm suspicious of resale shops. I don't trust that they are selling the real deal. I live in a well established area and most women have great careers and beautiful luxury goods. I see so many nice bags at school drop-off. I appreciate nice things but I'm a SAHM and feel bad spending $$ when I don't bring in an income. That being said, I've been pulling myself out of a depression and anxiety spiral, with medical help of course, and doing my nails, hair and makeup again has been really wonderful. Sorry for the confessional. Someone on here said, life is short, buy the bag and damn it, you're right.
When I saw u/ShoePurseStar 's review of a budget friendly Lindy, I was ecstatic. I immediately clicked and ordered! (TB using superbuy *link seems to be broken!)
That lead to many hours reading here, and I've compiled a list of things I've ordered from DHG and AE, I love the ease in ordering & price. I'm in Canada, and I really appreciate the shipping advice in the newbie guide, thank you!
Things for me!
Obligatory Cartier Love bracelet in Gold, no diamonds.
Hermes scarf, pink and green horse theme.
Hermes inspired hair scrunchie, pink and green buckle theme:
Gucci hair wrap, purple flowers, the logo is removed but appears in the reviwer's pictures.
Cartier Juste un Clou gold ring, no diamonds. I am beyond excited about this one, the price has gone up considerably in Canada over the years and I regret not buying a real one when it was more affordable. This one looks to be properly branded.
Edit: Chanel card holder link Update: chanel cardholder unboxing
Hermes (I don't know if it's branded) scarf ring in gold. Edit: link
Cute animal scarf...Who is the designer, if any? I ordered the dachshund hound and black cat versions. Adorable! Edit : link
Hermes Chaine scarf ring in gold, I'll be feeling so fancy at the thrift shop this winter. Edit : link
Two cheap beanies for winter I couldn't resist. I ordered the dark grey edit: link
deep red Edit :link
A tshirt featuring Pusheen to make my kids envious. I ordered the feeling fancy one, so I'll wear it with all my Hermes obviously. Edit:link
Hermes scarf! link
For my husband, a Pickle Rick (Rick and Morty) keychain. Edit : link
For my boys, all minecraft. Edit:toys headphones funko creeper
For my daughter, some adorable pink boots that have already shipped out. Edit: link

I'm very excited and happy to be here, and I'll review any of these items if there is interest :)
On a help-me-spend-more note, has anyone found Chopard jewelry or Wellendorf jewelry out there?

Thanks Ladies xoxo

2020.09.23 03:01 NoOneLikesMegGriffin [Review] Loewe medium hammock bag

This is my first review, so constructive criticism for the text is welcome. Not looking for QC points on the bag, I don’t want to see anything that I won’t be able to un-see later!
I took a chance with a new seller from this month’s Welcome Wagoon. I’ve been lusting after this bag for a while, and I think the colourway makes this bag quite versatile. It came with box, dust bag, care cards and internal pouch. I’m still looking for an organiser for this one - haven’t been able to find anything from Samorga, Zoomoni or Etsy (but I understand the shape of the bag makes this difficult).
Disclosure - nothing received but Lau did ask me to review on Reddit and send him the link - Hi Lau!
Non-TS Lau, u/LauLuck from September’s New Seller Welcome Wagoon

$36USD shipping through DHL
Paid through PayPal F+F
Order timeline (typing this out, I’m impressed at how quick the process was - it felt like it took forever at the time!) 2/9 enquired and paid 5/9 PSPs received and GL’d 7/9 shipped 18/9 received
Quality - 9/10
*Lau described this factory as “6-7 points - a good mix of quality and price”. I think I agree with him!
*Stamping of the logo on the strap is clean (it looks blurry in the photos, I couldn’t get the camera to focus).
*Logo stamp on the exterior and interior with “made in Spain” is clean and appropriately deep *Leather is nicely pebbled, not dry.
*Stitching is neat throughout.
*Glazing is a little bit inconsistent in areas (-0.25), but nothing major.
*The small black pouch that came with this is a little floppy (-0.25) but this is not a big deal. If anything, it’s an unexpected added bonus.
Accuracy to factory photos - 9/10
*Sizing is accurate to the authentic medium size.
*Shape is accurate to both the factory photos and authentic.
*The embossing of the logo is clear and appropriately deep on the exterior underneath the handle.
*The stamping on the hardware is clear and crisp.
*Interior lining is correct to the factory photos and what I have seen of the authentic.
*Leather texture seems to be correct to the authentic, with the handles, longer strap and piping(? - the thicker black band around the top of the bag) being smooth and the rest of the bag being a slightly pebbled leather.
*Proportions of the bag are correct to both the factory photos of the bag opened in the hammock shape, and cinched into the shrunken balloon shape, and the authentic photos depicting these.
*I thought the green would be brighter based on factory photos (-1) but it appears to be be just the lighting.
*Unfortunately I think this might be a fantasy colour scheme, but this was evident in the factory photos so o can’t deduct points for this. I can’t seem to find it on the site anywhere. If anyone else can find it, I’m happy to be corrected!
Satisfaction - 10/10
*No fufu during unboxing.
*The design of this means it can be all cinched in to be a smaller bag or pulled into the hammock shape for carrying more, which I love.
*The colours on this make it so versatile, it goes with everything and creates a point of interest due to the unique silhouette.
Communication - 10/10
Lau is so friendly and put up with my many questions. He replied quickly and was just just generally a joy to work with. He also said that if I found something I wanted that wasn’t in his albums, he’d be happy to try and source them for me and “tell [me] what quality it is so I can decide if [I want to] buy it or not”. I think I’ll be going to Lau for future bag purchases!

2020.09.22 04:04 pennied-days 100k Giveaway - Sunday High Tea, Sailor Moon style 🌙 ✨

Mood Board Link - my main entry
Bonus Mood Board #2 - made this just for fun
As a child of the 90s, I instantly knew that I would have to dedicate my entry to the one named Sailor Moon. I’m relatively new to RL (I literally only have my one rep…so far), so I made one Mood Board for Sailor Jupiter that goes with my one bag and one Mood Board for Sailor Moon just for the fun of it.
Sailor Jupiter - I call this one “Sunday High Tea”. She’s not actually carrying a bag in this scene (I know, I sound like such a dork) but I felt like the YSL Kate would go really well with the outfit. I decided to let the YSL gold on black be the “loudest” logo in this set by going with more “subtle” choices for the rest. I wanted this to feel classy without sacrificing those comfy Sunday vibes so I went with the flatter slingbacks! Featured items: YSL Kate (small), Babaton Sculpt Knit Mockneck, Chloe Pleated Wool-Blend Midi Skirt, Isabel Marant Lecce Belt, Cartier Ballon Bleu, and Chanel Slingbacks (20mm)
Sailor Moon - “Pink Rabbit”. I made this one for fun; I don’t actually have a rep of any of the items here but really wanted to recreate Usagi’s chic style! I added the gold bracelet to go with her hair. Since Usagi means rabbit in Japanese, I had to add the “rabbit ear” heels in as the final touch. Featured items: Celine Nano Belt Bag, Red Valentino Off-the-Shoulder Button Cardigan, Chloe Pleated Crepe Mini Skirt, Cartier Juste un Clou, and Aquazzura Bow Tie Pumps
(Please note that I bought this bag about 10 months ago, from the previous Bank GB. I know that the YSL Kate was reviewed to death during that time, but again this is all I have and I really wanted to participate in this giveaway! That being said, I’ll go through a brief overview of the bag and focus more on my experience with Bank to help inform anyone who might be considering the current GB.)
Quality is a 9.5/10. The factory smell (-0.5) was very apparent when I unboxed it. However that went away after airing it out. Accuracy is a 9.5/10. Like the other reviewers, I also felt that the YSL logo placement was a bit high (-0.5) though it’s kind of dependant on the angle you’re looking at the bag from. The dust bag is not accurate at all, but it’s not something I care about so I’m not docking points in this review. Honestly no complaints otherwise. The bag and the logo itself look great, the chain has a nice weight to it, and it was the proper gold colour. I’m totally satisfied and would recommend. This definitely served as a great “gateway” bag into the rep world. ;)
I found Bank to be a great seller to work with - clear, communicative, and quick replies. When I was looking at the QC posts of others buying the same bag from the GB at the time, I had a tiny hunch that Bank had sent me the same PSPs. The photos just looked…exactly the same. I’ll throw in the disclaimer that this is purely speculative! I wouldn’t be surprised if Bank is just really good at consistent photo angles. I also can’t really complain because when I received the bag, it was definitely true to the photos. Bank was also attentive to all my requests (packaging, shipping method, etc.). Overall I would not hesitate to buy from Bank again.
I just wanted to close out by saying thank you mods for hosting this giveaway! I had a lot of fun making this and love browsing through the entries so far. ❤️

2020.09.20 15:35 RandomAnnan India voted against Israel, voting along side Pakistan and China and against Australia, US, Canada and even Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland that abstained. This is bizarre.

Here is the vote: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2691&v=1LO-tG30isw&feature=emb_logo
Very bizarre. Question is is this Jaishankar or Indra Mani Pande. Jaishankar is coming out as a loser here.
Funnily enough, Israel's rep in the UN is...a women. And the ones voting against her are all mostly men...from countries like Saudi Arabia...this is funny.

2020.09.17 07:53 amanda_burns_red How do I reconcile being a practicing Stoic with having debilitating mental health issues?

For the most part, I ascribe to the whole of Stoicism, less the logos and the like ideology.
Though, I have had a couple of concerns that Stoicism, to my own personal knowledge and experience, is without significant wormen practitioners. The entirety of the material that I study and live by is overbearingly male, and I have only come across men who actually practice philosophy, much less appreciate Stoicism. I remember that the one and only time I read an interview with one of the rare women who are knowledgeable enough about the topic to be a philosophy professor, she highly disappointed and then made it worse by throwing some serious shade on the Stoics and proved to be completely ignorant with how she went about it.
I mean, there's a decent chance that I could be wrong and have just yet to come across the right information or meet the right people, but that is the general impression that I have at this point. Either way, I am not worried about it much, just more having a hard time understanding why such wise works as these tend to not attract women.
My main concern, though, is in reference to the title of this post. I am aware of how very un-stoic my assertion of the mental illness diagnoses I have being "debilitating". It is just... I have made progress on changing what I tell myself; altering expectations; unlearning old and relearning new associations; not assigning anything external/out of my own personal control any judgement leaning more towards being harmful or more towards being amazing-- it is what it is, and if I am still enough to examine the reality of things, I can find even the most seemingly minute possibilities to begin reforming this thing into an opportunity, perhaps more than one, and definitely forging a unique path which would never have been possible --with all of the necessary instruments provided in a desirable secession-- without very situationally specific hardships to be faced. Facing each idiosyncratic challenge eye-to-eye with courage and logic while holding virtue above all else puts ego in its place, and by attaining true stillness with intense awareness and quiet, genuine interest will never fail to lead to creation of new opportunities that are beneficial.
That being said, I rely on heavy medication to keep me even functional, and even then, having a wise counselor involved daily is necessary. I just cannot find a way to join the two most impactful aspects of myself. What would the Stoics say about my reliance on medications in order to even be able to grasp their teachings, or having delusions involving a nonexistent reality, or not being dangerously impulsive and reckless, or to keep from hearing and seeing things?
What would they say about the fact that, even with treatment for over 2 decades, I still have flashbacks to traumas? That I still can barely go 24 hours without some wildly extreme state of mind -- of existence? That my compulsions and obsessions and rituals and paranoia and phobias often bring my life to a stand-still?
I'm going to just leave it at that because I have a feeling everyone will see the length of this post and disregard it. I need help with making these two main parts of myself coexist in a manner which makes sense.
